Steven "Steve" Wilson
June 1, 1955 — February 23, 2020
Steven “Steve” Wilson, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, February 23, 2020. The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood, 520 Wilson Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home; all friends and family are welcome to attend.
Steve was born on June 1, 1955, to James C. Wilson and LaVonne (Corcoran) Wilson. Steve attended John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. He was a shop manager for CRST in Manchester, Iowa, and in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. For the past 17 years he has dedicated his “work” life to J.B. Hunt in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and playing cards. Steve also enjoyed watching football and basketball.
Steve loved his career and enjoyed the people he worked with. He will definitely be truly missed by many.
Steve is survived by his son, Jim (Staci) Wilson. He has three grandchildren, Alexis, Brendon and Kirsten. He is also survived by a sister, Mary, and a brother, Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul, Gerald and Patrick; and sister, Barbara.
