Steven "Steve" Michael Edgar

Steven “Bruno” Michael Edgar, 70, of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Private Family Services will be held, and cremation rites will be accorded. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.

Steve was born on October 5, 1954, in San Bernardino, California, the son of Carl and Hazel (Pagen) Newell. He attended Kennedy High School and earned his GED in 2003. On November 9, 1981, Steve was united in marriage to Crystal Kay Wadsworth in Cedar Rapids. Steve was a delivery driver for Smulekoff’s in his earlier years. He also worked as a supervisor at J.E. Adams and as a manager at the Green Gable Bar for many years. Fishing was not merely a hobby for Steve, it was his passion. His remarkable expertise in this beloved pastime earned him the esteemed title of Bass Master, a tribute to his skill and enthusiasm. Steve will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steve is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Crystal Edgar and children, Chance Edgar (Sara Walker) and Chanda (Adam) Wingerson, all of Hiawatha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Stradley.
