Steve P. Pelley, 55, of 5960 East Kacena Avenue in Marion, died Friday, November 3, 2006, in his home, following a long illness. Per Steve?s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements with Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Bev; three sons, Jeffry (Tiffany) Pelley of Marion and their daughter, Mickala, Chad (Melissa) Pelley of Cedar Rapids and their children, Avery, Rhyse and Amera, Cory (Crystal) Pelley of Mt. Vernon and their children Grace and Masen; two daughters, Tami (Raynaro) Pelley of Cedar Rapids and their daughters, Kimbry and Br?ya, Cindi (Tom) Stueck of Vinton and their children, Katie, Mackie and Tyler; his parents, Arlo and Arlene Pelley of Marion; two sisters, Barb (Collin) Aarhus of Center Point, Arlette (Steve) Deines of Marion; and a brother, Arlo Pelley Jr. of Springfield, Missouri.
Steve was born the son of Arlo and Arlene (Bissell) Pelley on December 6, 1950, in Manchester. He graduated from Marion High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. On February 13, 1971, in San Diego, California, he was united in marriage to Beverly Rardon.
Steve loved fishing and enjoyed his time as a private pilot.
Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
