Stanley Eugene Jordan

Stanley Jordan, 47, of Toddville, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at his home. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, Free Methodist Church, Toddville, conducted by Rev. Mark Lofquist. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville.
Survivors include his wife, Molly; mother, Norma Jordan; sons, Matthew (Amanda) Jordan of Ft. Drum, New York, and Andrew Jordan of Toddville; sister, Laurie Jordan of Cedar Rapids, mother-in-law, Carleta Herzberger; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Eugene Jordan; father-in-law, Keith Herzberger, sister, Julie Jordan, and sister-in-law, Michele Herzberger.
Stanley was born November 1, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Wesley and Norma (Campbell) Jordan. He was a 1985 graduate of Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, and attended Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids. Stan earned his ASE Master Technician certification. He married Molly Herzberger on November 5, 1988, at the Free Methodist Church, in Toddville. Stanley was an auto mechanic working with Hubbell’s Auto Repair, in Marion. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Toddville. Stan enjoyed playing the guitar, and working around his home. He was a handyman, who took pride in his yard. He volunteered in many activities, including the Alburnett Band Carnival, and Worship Team. Stanley was a soft-spoken, patient and compassionate man with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, son, and friend. Stanley was proud of his sons, a great role model, and a man of faith.
