Stanley R. Butterbaugh, Sr., 40, of 141 33rd Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at St. Luke?s Hospital following a short illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Gary Dobbins. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., prior to service. Burial at a later date: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon of Cedar Rapids; his parents, David J. and Barb J. (Ross) Butterbaugh, Sr., of Washington; a son, Stanley Ray, Jr. of Cedar Rapids; three stepdaughters, Alyssa Varner, Shayna Varner and Courtney Varner all of Shellsburg; a brother, David, Jr. of Washington; a sister, Robin (Tony) Lloyd of Washington; a niece, Jessica Lloyd of Washington; his grandmother, Jennie Ross of Iowa City; in-laws, Michael and Ronna O?Connor of Shellsburg and John Price of Cedar Rapids; and his best friend, Shane Peterson of Cedar Rapids.
Stan was born January 9, 1964, in Iowa City, the son of David J. and Barb J. (Ross) Butterbaugh, Sr. On October 20, 2001, he married Shannon Jean Price. Stan worked for E & F Construction as a concrete layer. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his son.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Stan?s memory.
