Sophie Lee Burnell, 7 weeks old, passed away suddenly at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa, Monday, March 10, 2014.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville, Iowa, with Rev. Donald Krause officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home, Earlville. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
Sophie was born January 23, 2014, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Matthew Burnell and Amy Marie Zirtzman. Sophie was a happy baby that would get excited when she saw a familiar face. She blessed everyone with her half-crooked smile.
Sophie is survived by her parents, Matthew and Amy of Earlville; and three sisters, Victoria, Hope and Alissa.
Sophie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sandy Zirtzman; and a great-grandfather, Jim Uden.
