Skylar Allen Wolfe, 17, of 343 - 7th Street, Marion, passed peacefully into the afterlife on Thursday, July 24, 2003. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Rev. Fritz Mellberg of Hope United Church of Christ in Hiawatha. Friends may call from 2 - 6 p.m. Sunday (July 27) at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Survivors include his parents, Melissa and Richard Wolfe of Cedar Rapids; five sisters, Niki and Sarah Wolfe, at home, Kalissa and Samantha Northrup and Kasie Mesch, all of Cedar Rapids; his grandparents, Joanne Wilson of Marion, Sally Wolfe, Barbara Decker and Lawrence Wolfe, all of Cedar Rapids, and Donald Wilson of Independence; his great-grandparents, Lenard Mundschenk of Marion and Connie Wilson of Independence; and many, many, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Brad Northrup; his cousin, Paige Ishman; his grandfather, Bill Northrup; and great-grandparents, Dorothy Mundschenk and Fannie and Marvin Davidson.
Skylar was born June 5, 1986, in Cedar Rapids. He was to be a senior at Marion High School. Skylar enjoyed skate-boarding, drawing, drafting, listening to his music and he especially enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He will be dearly missed by all of the many people whose lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Skylar?s memory.
