Simon F. Cooper, 25, of Urbana, Iowa, died Friday, November 10, 2006, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, as a result of an accident. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial: Urbana Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Bjork; his daughter, Acacia Cooper of Urbana; step-son, Brandt Giauque of Urbana; his parents; two brothers, John Cooper and Nathan Cooper both of Strasburg, Ohio; mother and father-in-law, Russ and Sheri Bjork of Center Point; and four brothers-in-law, William Bjork of Canton, Ohio, Christopher Bjork, Robert Bjork, and Russell Bjork, Jr. all of Center Point.
Simon was born June 26, 1981, in Los Alamitos, California, the son of Wayne Caeon and Kimberly Cooper. On September 21, 2004, he was united in marriage to Melissa Bjork in N. Canton, Ohio. He was employed by the grain elevator in Shellsburg.
Simon was a volunteer EMT for the Urbana Area Ambulance and an organ donor.
A memorial fund has been established in Simon?s memory.
