Shirley A. Willett, 75, of Alburnett, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett.
Survivors include her husband, James; siblings, Ina McAmis of Greeneville, TN, and Fain (Grace) Reaves of Kinston, NC; brother-in-law, Robert (Mary Ann) Willett of Mechanicsville; sister-in-law, Mary Smith of Mechanicsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Marvin, Jean, Claude, and Juanita.
Shirley was born July 26, 1936 in Greeneville, TN, the daughter of Bourban and Nancy (Bishop) Reaves. She married James Willett on October 26, 1960 in Lisbon, IA. Shirley worked with Rockwell Collins for 26 years, retiring in 1991.
