Shirley Gray, 77, of Edgewood, died, Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester following a sudden illness
Family will greet friends from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, Iowa. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Shirley A. Gray was born January 5, 1932 in Marquette, IA, the daughter of Frank and Alvena (Hook) Northrup. She was united in marriage to Milton LaVern Gray.
Shirley worked as an in-home health care provider. She was a great mother and grandma who loved spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her children, Raymond (Julie) Markin of Manchester, Arnold Markin of Spillville, Becky Staton, Milton (Bambi) Gray, and Nancy Gregory all of Edgewood, a step-son, Andrew Gray of Denver; a brother, Frank Northrup of Indiana; fourteen grandchildren, Ray, Emily, Hank, Chad, Chris, Robin, Bonnie, Monica, Santana, Nikie, Mistie, Dameon, Jed, and Felicia; and ten great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Gray; her parents, Frank and Alvena Northrup; two children, Henry Markin and Pat Cole; a step-son, Duane Gray and two grandchildren, Sheilia Cole and Raymond Frank Markin
