Shirlee was born the daughter of Harlan and Gertrude Davis Staton on October 15, 1946, in Manchester, Iowa. On June 5, 1964, she married the love of her life, Don Dufoe, at the First Christian Church in Center Point. Her whole family gathered in the summer of 2004 to celebrate their 40 years of marriage. Shirlee has been a gift to many people, especially her family. She cherished family gatherings, cooking (her collection of cookbooks reveal this), gardening, travel and being with Don. An avid Cardinal fan, Shirlee loved watching a special pitcher. If you knew her, you saw tenderness, caring, love and knew she treasured each day. Shirlee?s faith sustained and comforted her. We are all blessed that we will join her some day in Heaven with God.

Shirlee invested her life raising a family, being involved in the family businesses, and touching the lives of others, especially those in the Sunrise Court and Eastview Drive apartments. Much of her time was given to her children and grandchildren. They loved her special cooking?many recipes will bring memories of this wonderful lady. She will be deeply missed.
