Sherry L. Letts, 64, of Manchester and formerly of Delhi, Iowa, died early Wednesday morning, January 29, 2003, at the Finley Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa, from kidney and heart failure.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, February 1, 2003 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, the Rev. David H. Wagner, Sr. will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 Friday evening, where an Eagle?s Service will begin at 6:00 pm, and one hour before the service on Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Delhi, Iowa.

Sherry was born, January 28, 1939, in Delhi, Iowa, the daughter of Maurice H. & Matilda (Janousek) Rimmer. She was raised and educated in Delhi, graduating in 1957. On July 26, 1957, she married William E. Letts in Elkader, Iowa. The couple resided in Manchester. Sherry worked at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, until the late 1960?s when she become a full time homemaker. Sherry also worked as a bartender at the Eagle?s Club, The Office Tap, Hoot's and the Legion Club.

Sherry was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was known as "mom? to many that knew her. She enjoyed attending her kid?s sporting events and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Sherry liked to bowl and was a member of a local bowling league. She was an Elvis fan and loved her cats. Sherry was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Sherry is survived by three children, Randi Letts of Manchester, Candi Letts of Oxford, Mississippi, and Terri "Chop" Letts of Manchester and a grandson, Rion Letts of Manchester.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice & Matilda Rimmer.
