Shelley R. Boll, 49, died Monday, April 25, 2005 in her home in Manchester following injuries from a fall.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 28. 2005 at the Community Congregational Church in Manchester by Rev. Kurt Pasko. Friends may call from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be Oakland Cemetery in Manchester.
Shelley was born December 27, 1955 in Brookings, South Dakota, the daughter of Glen A. and Delores M. (Steffen) Norberg. She attended school in South Dakota before moving to Strawberry Point at the age of eight. Shelley graduated from Starmont High School in 1974. She married Randall Walters in June of 1974, and the couple moved to Mantorville, Minnesota. In 1987, Shelley moved to Manchester where she worked at Hazel?s Café, Regional Medical Center and the Good Neighbor Home. On May 21, 1990, Shelley was united in marriage to Bill Boll at the Manchester United Methodist Church. The couple owned and operated "The Fish Shack? in Manchester and Dubuque.
Shelley touched a lot of peoples lives, gave tours of the business and helped maintain aquariums. She liked knitting afghans, gardening, and collecting pixies and fairies.
Shelley is survived by her husband, Bill Boll of Manchester; three children, Tasha Walters of Dubuque, Mark Walters (Tanya Burken) of Hiawatha and Robert Walters of Cedar Rapids; two step-children, Josh Boll of Hiawatha and Angela Boll of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Sue (Dale) Kartman of Strawberry Point; three brothers, Terry Norberg and Tom (Susie) Norberg, both of Strawberry Point, and Kurt Seedorff of Des Moines; her mother-in-law, Norma Aikman of Tipton; and many nieces and nephews, including Austin & Morgan Norberg, Stephanie (Anthony) Cooper and Dan Kartman.
Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, Glen & Delores Norberg.
