Sharon Faye Wilhelm died Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester, IA. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester by Rev. David Weber. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Manchester. Additional visitation one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Forestville Cemetery, Dundee, IA.
Sharon was born February 14, 1939 in Cedar Rapids, IA the daughter of Frank and Olga (Chehak) Staskal. She graduated from St. Wenceslaus School in Cedar Rapids in 1956. On September 6, 1968, Sharon was united in marriage to Ronald D. Wilhelm in Galena, IL. The couple lived in Manchester until 1996, when they moved to Dundee. Sharon was the Asst. Manager of AVCO Financial Services in Oelwein.
Sharon was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester. She lead a Bible Study for over 30 years and also enjoyed reading, playing scrabble and the Cubs.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Ronald Wilhelm of Manchester; a son, Russell R. Sebetka of Walker, three step-children, Pam (Dan) Caffrey of Indianola, Cindy (Kirt) Walker of Columbus, OH, and Denise Wilhelm of Medford, NJ; one granddaughter, Kelly; seven step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kirsten, Rahney, Bailey, Grace, MacKenzie and Abigail; and one great-granddaughter, Jacey; and a brother-in-law, Leonard Dolezal.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; one step-son, Ron Wilhelm, Jr.; and one sister, Evelyn Dolezal.
