Sharon Ann Meskimen (Burger)

Sharon Ann Meskimen, 62, of Swisher, died Thursday, December 22, 2011, at home. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at St. Patrick’s Church, Fairfax, by Father Dustin Vu. Family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. and a scripture service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Burial: Blaine Cemetery, Swisher.
Survivors: her husband, Dave; her children, Brett (Shonda) Scott (Amy) and Craig (Ashley); her mother, Adelaide Burger of Fairfax; six grandchildren, Cayden, Connor, Charley, Owen, Olivia and Claire; three sisters, Marcia (Ken) Caldbeck of Alabama, Nancy Finney of Cedar Rapids and Pam Burger of Texas; and a brother, Dennis Burger of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Myron Burger.
Sharon was born October 24, 1949, the daughter of Myron and Adelaide (Zamastil) Burger, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On September 19, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dave Meskimen in Fairfax, Iowa. For 43 years, Sharon has worked for the College Community School District.
