Sharon Lee Kampman, 50, of 2368 Pleasantview Drive, Marion, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, after a long illness with pulmonary hypertension. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, by Sharon?s uncle, Mr. Robert Orr, and Mr. Alan Christopherson. Graveside services: 2 p.m. Friday at Portable Cemetery, rural Manchester. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 - 8 p.m. Thursday.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Bert and Pat Kampman of Marion; her siblings, Rod (Judy) Kampman of Baxter, Rhonda DeBuhr of Parkersburg (and Pete Burtch of Waterloo), and Sherryl Kampman of Manchester; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary; and a nephew, Clay DeBuhr.

On October 8, 1956, Sharon was born in Manchester, Iowa, to Bert and Mary (Fisher) Kampman. She was a graduate of Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids in 1975. Sharon worked in food service at St. Luke?s Hospital for twenty-three years.

Sharon was in fellowship and gathered in the name of the Lord at Marion Gospel Hall. Sharon came to know Christ as her Saviour on March 6, 1974, through the Bible verse Romans 5:8.

Sharon lived a very simple and happy life. She will be remembered as a very "special? person, for her sweet and joyful spirit, and as someone who always shared big hugs and smiles. Sharon was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by many. A memorial fund has been established in Sharon?s memory.
