Sharon L. (DeLancey) Cook, 75, formerly of Manchester, died of cancer Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Edgewood Convalescent Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at United Methodist Church, Manchester. Family will greet friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Bohnenkamp Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, and one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.

Sharon was born May 15, 1939 in Milo Township, the daughter of Donald and Alta (Haynes) DeLancey. She was a graduate of Manchester High School. Sharon earned her degrees from Upper Iowa and Iowa State Teachers College. She was a teacher with the West Delaware School District, retiring in 1997. Sharon was involved in Christian Women’s Club, Women’s Friday Afternoon Club, and Community Bible Church, Edgewood. Sharon also served as Chairperson of the McGee – Brick School Foundation.

Surviving are her children, Eric Cook of Iowa City, Melanie Cook of Iowa City, and Keith (Becky) Cook of Mineral Point, Wis.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Hubbard of Strawberry Point; and two nephews, Tony Hubbard of Washington, IA, and Tom Hubbard, and Denver, CO.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and twin nieces.

A memorial will be established in Sharon’s memory.
