Sharon Louise (Ruberg) Anders

Sharon Louise (Ruberg) Anders, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully Friday, December 15, 2023, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 3 – 4 p.m., service to follow on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids.
Sharon was born November 24, 1946, in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of Eugene Dale and Marion (Kinney) Ruberg. Sharon married Delbert John Anders. She was a long-time employee of Goodwill and found joy in volunteering, especially at thrift stores. She loved attending church on Sundays. Sharon brought joy to our lives and to everyone that she crossed paths with. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, doing puzzles with her daughter, Angie, and working on puzzle books. She left us with many great memories, stories to tell, and delicious recipes, including her famous Christmas cookies.
Survivors include her children, Angela Douglas (John), Chris Cheely, David (Sunne) Wilson; brothers, David (Suzie) Ruberg, Michael (Young) Ruberg, Timothy (Theresa) Ruberg, and James (Becky) Ruberg; and sister, Lori Bohnenkamp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion, and Eugene Dale Ruberg; husband, Delbert Anders; and sister, Rhonda Sweezer.
