Sean Sheridan Darland

Sean Sheridan Darland, 25, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
Sean was born on April 20, 1995, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Alan and Linette (Smith) Darland. He was a 2013 graduate of Marion Independent High School. Sean worked in customer support at Toyota Financial. He enjoyed computer gaming, magic cards, and Pokeman. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Sean is survived and lovingly remembered by his parents; Alan and Linette Darland of Marion; daughter, Alice Megan Darland; special friend, Kimberlyn Spurlin of Marion; aunt, Shirlee (Larry) Hall of Marengo, Iowa; uncle, Kelly (Teresa) Smith of Kearney, Nebraska; and several cousins and second cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and two aunt, Alaine Smith and Suzanne Henry.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the benefit of Sean’s daughter, Alice.
