Scott Lee Raim, 44, 1027 9th Street NW, Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, December 29, 2007, in his home following a short illness. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Barb Furman.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Raim-Smith of Cedar Rapids; his sisters, Lori (Bruce) Johnson, Michelle Hartzell and Carey (David) Miller; his maternal grandmother, Helen Rotter; niece and nephews, Jeffrey, Amanda, Joshua and Dustin; numerous other relatives; and his beloved cats, Babe and George.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; and a brother-in-law, Larry Hartzell.
Scott was born June 8, 1963, the son of Ernest and Shirley (Rotter) Raim, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Prairie High School in 1981. Scott worked for MidWest Metals.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Scott.
