Scott M. Guhl
June 14, 1979 — July 26, 2007
Scott Guhl, of Cedar Rapids, was called up by his Lord early Thursday, the 26th of July, 2007, following a sudden medical emergency. Services Monday, July 30, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Bill Randles of Believers in Grace Church. The family will greet friends from noon until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
Survivors include his father, Jeffery (Lora Schmoll) Guhl of Solon; his mother, Renee Boland of Cedar Rapids; stepfather, John (Mary) McConnell of Monticello; and stepmother, Lori Rezab of Quasqueton. Siblings include Katrina Guhl of Waterloo, Bethany McConnell, Rebecca McConnell of Cedar Rapids and John McConnell of Monticello; his grandparents, James and Pat Clark of Cedar Rapids and Ed and Delores Guhl of Waterloo. He also has many aunts, uncles and friends who will miss him, especially Dru, Josh and Nichole.
Scott was born June 14, 1979, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated in 1997 from Washington High School, where he was one of Coach Voss’ swimmers. He was involved in scouting as a youth and continued to enjoy fishing, the outdoors and animals. Scott served briefly in the Navy.
