Sandra Kay Robbins, 67, of Coggon, went to be with her Lord following a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at her home. Memorial Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, by Chaplain Jeremy Hudson. The family will greet friends from 9 ?" 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Gene of Coggon; five children, Scott Wistrick of Mason City, Roxanne Greve of Central City, Luanne Ventura of Manchester, Susie Letts of Manchester and Randy Robbins of Longmont, Colorado; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Suzanne Wistrick of Greeley; and a brother, Sidney Wistrick of Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fieldon (Fritz) and Ilo Wistrick; her father and mother-in law, Vernon and Maxine Robbins; an infant son; and three sisters, Shirley Beruba, Sharon Hanson, and Sheila Ingles.
Sandra was born January 1, 1942, the daughter of Fieldon (Fritz) and Ilo (Miles) Wistrick in Elkader. She married Gene Robbins on March 31, 1962, in Strawberry Point. Sandra worked as a Home Health Care Aide for St. Luke’s Hospital for twenty years.

Sandra loved to cook and bake, especially popcorn balls and macaroni and cheese. Sandra was a very giving person. She enjoyed her job as a home health care aide and loved taking care of people. Sandra was thrifty and enjoyed searching for coupons. She also liked gardening, crocheting, and sewing.

Sandra will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends that loved her.

A memorial fund has been established in Sandra’s memory.
