Mildred “Sally” Marie (Carrel), Stalkfleet, Young, Keller, Curtis, Dundee, 82, of Marion, passed away Friday April 14, 2017, at Willow Garden Care Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, and from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Ridgewood Cemetery, North Liberty.
Sally is survived by her children, Kenneth “Bear” (Deb) Stalkfleet of Cedar Rapids, Thomas “Tom” Stalkfleet of Cedar Rapids, Sandra (Lloyd) Henderson of Marion, and Debra (Boyd Strong) Young of Cedar Rapids; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Sherie Antolik of Marion.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean Dundee; sons, Steven Stalkfleet, Mark “Tony” Stalkfleet and Robert Stalkfleet; and daughter, Susan Moyle.
Sally was born in Johnson County, Iowa, on September 8, 1934, the daughter of Eugene and Dorothy (Hanson) Carrel. She retired from HACAP after 35 years. Sally enjoyed Elvis and seeing Elvis impersonators. She enjoyed her trip to Hawaii as well as spending winters in Arizona with Dean. Sally loved to dance and take trips to the casino.
The family would like to thank the staff of Willow Gardens Care Center and Hospice of Mercy for their compassionate care of Sally.
