Ruthann Duncan (Hardin)

Ruthann Duncan, 62, of 51 Dartmouth Street S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died of cancer, Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2008, at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, William; children, Scott Bohnenkamp of Anamosa and Sherrie (Bohnenkamp) Blakesley and husband Darren of Rockford, Illinois; grandson, Danny Blakesley; and sister, Carolyn Connor and husband John of Anamosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ruthann was born September 5, 1945, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Wilma (Huggins) Hardin. In 1985, she married William Duncan in Cedar Rapids. Ruthann worked in customer service for Alliant Energy for 23 years.
Ruthann was an avid Cubs fan, idolizing Sammy Sosa, was an Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed gambling. She especially enjoyed watching her grandson play football.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ruthann’s memory.
