Ruth Marie Warren, 73, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017, following a long illness. Visitation: 5-7p.m. Monday, February, 13, 2017, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Faith Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor John Albertson. Private Burial: Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon, Iowa.
Ruth was born July 2, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Alma Ruth (Kellerhals) Ford. On March 19, 1983, she married Kenneth Warren in Marion. Ruth worked for Dearborn Brass and then with the United States Postal Service. Ruth and Ken retired to Tampa, Florida for a few years before returning to Iowa to be closer to family. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post #298 Women’s Auxiliary. Ruth liked to stay active and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Ruth will be missed by her husband Kenneth of Marion; children, Dianne Feld of Cedar Rapids, Gary (Shari) Wendel of Cedar Rapids, Linda (Dan) Kuchenbaker of Peachtree City, Georgia, Jason (Beth) Warren of Iowa City, and Mark Warren (Stacey) of Altoona, Iowa; grandchildren, Dustin (Emilie), Alex, Derik, Garrit, Brian, Laura, Ben, Christian, Jonah, Kellen, Quinn, Kaitlyn and Avery; great-grandson, Rexton; sister Leona Gaines of Cedar Rapids; and her extended family Jim, Teresa, Bill, Laura and Michelle Hillsman of Newtown, Pennsylvania.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Iris Shramek, Edith Evans and Joyce Kranz; and brother, Merle Ford.
