Ruth Genevieve Krohn

Ruth G. “Genny” Krohn, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, September 12, 2014, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids. Memorial service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Jim Goodrich. Family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Private family burial will be at Cedar Memorial, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at a later date.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Phillips of Hiawatha.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Dan; three brothers, Chuck, Roger and Keith; one sister, Scharlene. Her son Robert died on the same day as Ruth.
Genny was born on January 29, 1931, in Benton County, Iowa, daughter of Fred and Martha (Williams) Schlotterback. She married Richard H. Krohn on February 23, 1950, he later died in 2000.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Phillips of Hiawatha.
