Russell Robert "Russ" Scholz, Jr.

Russell Robert Scholz, Jr., 73, of 2825 1st Ave., Marion, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, in his home, from complications of diabetes. Per Russ’ wishes, there will be no services or visitation. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Wilda, and a daughter, Carolyn Ann (Jeff) Stoddard of Iowa City.
Russ was born May 9, 1935, the son of Russell R. and Helen M. (Bargmann) Scholz, Sr. in Davenport, Iowa. He married Wilda E. Emerson on June 22, 1963. Russ served with the U.S. Army Signal Corps and worked at Norand as a Technical Illustrator for many years, retiring in 1994.
