Russell J. Clark, 83, of 2201 26th Street S.W., died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, in St. Luke?s Hospital, following a short illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2005, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service by the Rev. Jay Jentink. Burial: Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 15 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Naomi; daughter Cathy (David) Rammelsberg of Palo and their children Brooke and fiancé, Fred Agan, Josie (Mark) Norton and their son Jackson Norton and Kyla and fiancé, Todd Sergeant; and daughter Karen (David) Beer of Cedar Rapids and their children, Austin, Colby and Courtney Beer; and a sister, Neoma Robertson of Martelle.

Russell was born May 9, 1922, in Central City, to Odie and Daisy (Barret) Clark. He graduated from Springville High School. On January 10, 1943, he was united in marriage to Naomi R. Peal at Calvary Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids. Russell served in the US Army during WW II. He was employed as a painter for Iowa Manufacturing, now Cedar Rapids Inc., for 35 years. After he retired he moved on to helping his son-in-law, David Rammelsberg, farm and his son-in-law, David Beer, at Five Seasons Auto Rebuilders. He attended Calvary Baptist Church, the Salt and Pepper Club, and the American Legion.

Russell enjoyed feeding the birds, fishing and antiquing. He loved visiting with people and telling stories. He loved the social club at Donutland.
