Ruby E. Powers

Ruby E. Powers, of Hiawatha, died Friday, February 27, 2004, at St. Luke?s Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a long illness. Private graveside services will be held at Oliphant Cemetery in rural Center Point. As per Ruby?s wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include one daughter, one son, and many close friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, and one son.
Ruby was born August 8, 1921 in Winona, Missouri, the daughter of Edward Garfield and Maude Elizabeth (Remby) Grandstaff. On February 23, 1963, she married Harold K. Powers.
