Ruby Mae Longerbeam, 76, of Marshalltown, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown, following a long illness. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Linda Hansen-Bibb. Entombment: Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Mick) Welsh of Williamsburg; a stepson, Irv Longerbeam of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Scott (Jodie) McMurrin of Fairfax, Todd (Chris) McMurrin of Des Moines and Shelley (Cory) McMurrin of Cedar Rapids; a stepgrandson, Sean (Shelly) Welsh of Williamsburg; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Sandra (Bernard) Micheal of Nebraska; and two brothers, Leonard (IdaLee) Badding and Calvin (Gloria) Badding, both of Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bobby.

Ruby was born February 27, 1929, the daughter of Joe and Ruth Fox Badding, in Urbana, Iowa. On December 21, 1963, she was united in marriage to Robert Longerbeam. He died October 1, 2002. Ruby loved to go bowling and play bingo.
