Rubey Evelyn Jarosh
April 30, 1926 — February 21, 2006
Rubey E. Jarosh, 79, of 1510 L Street S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died in St. Luke?s Hospital Tuesday, February 21, 2006, following a long illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley; her son, Danny (Gwen) Jarosh of Cedar Rapids; and her daughter, Lisa Eichhorn of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Christopher Eichhorn and Ian Jarosh both of Cedar Rapids; and one sister, Olita (Cecil) Crauthers of Eufaula, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Huldia Durham; a sister, Edna Alvarez; and a grandson, Jason Jarosh.
Rubey was born on April 30, 1926, in Chandler, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Huldia (Carlson) Durham. On August 13, 1951, she married Stanley Jarosh in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She worked at Collins Radio and later owned and operated the Southside Tavern with her husband.
She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.
