Roy Thomas Fuller, 59, of Springville, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2003. Friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 10. Inurnment: Hazel Knoll Cemetery, near Viola.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; a son, Tom Fuller and wife Jennifer of Oxford, Iowa; a daughter, Sarah Fuller of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Ray Fuller and wife Jeanne of Marion; a sister, Mary Ann Calef of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters, McKenzie and Taylor Fuller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death
by his parents.
Roy was born the son of Raymond Fuller Sr. and Wilma (Goodin) Fuller on December 28, 1943, in Viola, Iowa. On December 11, 1965, he was united in marriage to Susan Dudek at the Springville Presbyterian Church. Roy graduated from Marion High School in 1962. He attended Cedar Rapids Barber College and was a barber for over forty-two years, owning and operating Fuller?s Hair Care Center in Springville for almost thirty-six years. For ten years, Roy served on the Springville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a founding member of the Eastern Iowa Shooting Dog Association.
Roy loved hunting, fishing, his dog, Delta, and above all, he loved his family.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Friends of the Linn County Conservation Board, 1890 County Home Road, Marion, Iowa, 52302, for conservation education in memory of Roy.
