Rosemond Edith “Rosie” Campbell, 77, a resident of Summit Pointe in Marion, formerly of Central City, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at her home, following a short illness. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Central City by Rev. Nick Needham. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery in Central City.

Survivors include her husband, Ron; her children, Wanda (Al) Erwine of Cedar Rapids, Mel (Pam) Campbell of Ryan, and Camella (Duane) Eichenberger of Coppell, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Kris Campbell of Springville; eight grandchildren, Kyla Sattgast, Christopher and Eric Campbell, Corey, Alysia, and Wesley Campbell, and Angie and Audrey Eichenberger; and eight great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her twin brother, Raymond Davis of Cedar Rapids; brother, Paul Davis of Cedar Rapids; and three sisters, Mary Garrett of Monticello, Martha Knupp of Marion, and Jean Goodall of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Creighton Campbell; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Campbell; and five siblings.

Rosie was born June 11, 1931, the daughter of Raymond and Elsie (Schrom) Davis in Culver, Indiana. She graduated from Central City High School in 1951. On September 26, 1952, she married Ronald B. Campbell in Central City. Rosie worked in food service for Linn Mar Schools for many years.

Rosie enjoyed fishing, listening to music and dancing, crocheting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Rosie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Central City, UMW, Elderberries, and Klassie Lassies.
