Rosemary Oldorf, 58, of Anamosa, Iowa, died, Thursday morning, December 28, 2006, in University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City from Cushing?s Syndrome. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Nils Hernandez. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Burial: St. John?s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; a stepson, Mike (Laurie) Oldorf of Cedar Rapids; a stepdaughter, Ann (Michael) Lynch of Rochester, Minnesota; three step-grandchildren, Emily Oldorf, Eliza Lynch and Elliott Lynch; her mother, Rose Marie Sage of Monticello; three sisters, Connie (Phil) Gerdes of Monticello, Beverly (Dwight) Howard of Cedar Rapids and Sue (Jeff) Welp of Fallbrook, California; a brother-in-law, Glen (Mary Jane) Oldorf of Marion; a sister-in-law Eddie (Doug) Willey of Mechanicsville; nieces and nephews, Jody Kruchenberg, Joann Willey, Trisia (Tim) Lambert, Justin (Nikki) Gerdes, David Howard and Becky Howard.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Sage; and a brother, Butch Sage.
Born February 8, 1948, the daughter of John D. and Rose Marie Philipp Sage, she married Larry Oldorf on January 30, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a 1966 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 1967 graduate of Young?s Beauty School. For thirty years, she owned and operated Fashion Flair.
Rosemary was a very giving and caring person, who thoroughly enjoyed her family. She will be greatly missed those who knew and loved her.
