Rosella "Rose" Elaine Bentrott
September 13, 1930 — March 1, 2024
Rosella Elaine Bentrott, 93, of Springville, Iowa, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Springville Cemetery in Springville, with a luncheon held afterwards at the Springville American Legion.
Rose was born on September 13, 1930, in Wheatland, Iowa, the daughter of Hans and Bertha (Johanson) Dierksen. She was a 1948 graduate of Wheatland High School. On January 31, 1951, Rose was united in marriage to Marvin L. Bentrott in Davenport, Iowa. Together, they farmed near Springville. She was a member of the Springville American Legion Auxiliary. Rose enjoyed tractor pulls, farming, puzzles, going to the casino, word searches, and playing Euchre. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends and going to her grandsons’ sporting events. Rose will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rose is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Gayla Bates (Brian Clarke) of Springville; grandson, Brandon (Kelsie) Bates of Springville; four great-grandsons, Braylon, Kylan, Easton, and Elijah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; four sisters, Verna Dierksen, Ella (Louie) Finis, Edna (Ted) Moellenbeck, and Arlene (Paul) Kelding.
