Rose Mary “Rosie” Salow, 82, of Manchester, Iowa formerly of Earlville, Iowa passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Good Neighbor Home, surrounded by her family. Family will greet friends from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, with a Scripture Service at 3 p.m., at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Earlville, with an additional visitation one hour prior to services. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Earlville.
Rosie was born November 13, 1938, the daughter of John and Clara (Roling) Werner. She attended Leibold Country School, and St. Joseph’s Earlville. Rosie was united in marriage to David Salow on April 21, 1958, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Earlville. Along with raising her family, Rosie worked as a CNA at Regional Medical Center for 16 Years, until her retirement in 2004. Rosie was a member of the Earlville Community Club and enjoyed playing Bingo. She especially enjoyed going to all of the children and grandchildren’s basketball games and activities.
Survivors include her husband, David; their children, Judy (Randy) Hillers of Manchester, Joan M. Salow of Earlville, Jeff (Joan E.) Salow of Manchester, June (Jesse) Wooten of Earlville, Jim (Michelle) Salow of Earlville, Joel (Kim) Salow of Walker, Jay (Nicole) Salow of Manchester, Justin (Kelli) Salow of Robins; twenty grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty (Vince) Herman, Ruth Ann Jaeger, Theresa Wetter; sisters-in-law, Carmen Werner and Amanda Werner.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son John, brothers, Leon Werner and Joseph Werner; and brothers-in-law, Milt Wetter and John Jaeger.
