Rosaline “Rose” Viola Heiberger, 90, of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Good Neighbor Nursing Home in Manchester. Visitation: 12:30 – 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Delhi United Methodist Church with a Funeral Service beginning at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi, Iowa. Arrangements by Bohnenkamp - Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester.
Survivors include her daughters, Darla Henry (Pat) of Manchester, Diane Freeze (Jim) of Hopkinton; grandchildren, Mark (Tracy) Freeze of Cedar Rapids, Matthew Freeze (Penny) of Savage, MN, Nathan (Courtney) Freeze of Hopkinton, Caleb (Shawna) Freeze of Des Moines, Jillian (Lowell) Brown of Albion, CA and Amanda Smith (Anton) of Coville, WA.; eleven great-grandchildren; her sister, Alberta Hodgkin of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Flossie; her husband, Louis in 2008; daughter, Debra in infancy; infant granddaughter, Carly Smith; son in law, Tom Smith.
Rose was born on July 5, 1925 to Adolf and Flossie (Nelson) Swee in Delhi, Iowa. She graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School. Rose married her husband, Louis Heiberger, on March 13, 1943 in Oakdale, Louisiana. Together they raised two daughters. Her family was her life. She enjoyed flowers, cleaning, baking bread and cinnamon rolls. Rose was an avid sports fan and especially loved Iowa Hawkeye teams. She was a 60 year member of the Delhi United Methodist Church. Her church family kept her going. Rose will be missed by all who knew her.
