Rosa Elizabeth Maulson
February 26, 1919 — February 22, 2006
Rosa E. Maulson, 86, of Delhi, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Delhi United Methodist Church by Rev. Jill Mack. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville and one hour before services Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi.
Rosa was born February 26, 1919 in Van Cleve, Iowa, the daughter of Laffayette B. & Elsie M. (Grave) Overman. She graduated from Delhi Consolidated Schools in 1938. On September 1, 1961 Rosa was united in marriage to Clyde Maulson at the Delhi United Methodist Church. Clyde passed away May 31, 1965.
Rosa was always a very loving and caring person. Early in her life, Rosa worked as what was called a "hired girl? to the sick, disabled and families needing help with a new baby. She spent many years working in a grocery, drug store and locker in Delhi. After retirement, Rosa became very active volunteering in church, club and Legion Auxiliary activities. Rosa?s biggest joy was family, and children held a special place in her heart.
Rosa is survived by a sister, Mary Lou (Bob) Leininger of Thornton, IA; an aunt, Edith Overman of Rhodes, IA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Laffayette & Elsie Overman; her husband, Clyde Maulson; and three brothers, Ben, Robert & Elmer "Dick? Overman.
