Ronda Ellen (Noble) Chettinger, 43, of Lamont, died early Saturday morning, November 16, 2002, at her home from cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Dundee, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at ST. JOHN?S LUTHERAN CHURCH in Dundee. A private scattering of her cremated remains will be at a later date. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
Ronda was born on May 26, 1959, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of John W. & Gloria Ellen (Baumgartner) Noble, Jr. In 1977, she graduated from Starmont High School, Arlington, Iowa, then worked as a waitress for the Hi-way Café in Strawberry Point, Iowa. Then in 1979, Ronda went to work for the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home where she was a CNA for the past 23 years. On September 25, 1981, Ronda married Richard Dean Chettinger at St. John?s Lutheran Church, Dundee and later divorced.
Ronda enjoyed gardening and camping but most loved her time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Ronda is survived by her three children, Amy M. Noble (Dennis Acey), Tiffany E. Chettinger (Greg German), and Travis D. Chettinger, all of Lamont; two grandchildren, Tyler Chettinger and Alicia German; her mother, Gloria E. Noble of Dundee; three sisters, Marilyn (Ron) Cunningham, and their children, Sheena & Jesse, of Masonville, Brenda (Rick) Popham, and their children, Andy & Josh, of Lamont, and Julie Noble (Edie Duncan) of Strawberry Point; her maternal grandmother, Erma Mae Baumgartner of Bonita Springs, Florida; aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews.
Ronda was preceded in death by her father, John W. Noble, Jr.; her maternal grandfather, Ronald Baumgartner; and her paternal grandparents, John W. Noble, Sr. and Lillian & Dorrance Keegan.
