Ronald Patrick Schuman, 45 of Hopkinton, died, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City. Funeral Mass will be 1:00pm, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Hopkinton. Visitation will be 3:00pm - 8:00pm, Today (Friday, February 15, 2013) at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville, with a 8:00pm parish vigil service. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to Mass on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Earlville.

Ron was born March 17, 1967 in Manchester the son of Everett and Darline (Feldman) Schuman. He was raised on the family farm near Earlville and graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1986. He persued a degree in diesel mechanics from NICC and drove for various trucking companies until opening his first of many businesses. Ron enjoyed ultra lights, camping, rebuilding, and inventing machinery.

Ron is survived by his parents, Everett and Darline Schuman of Earlville; three children, Tyler (Kaci Chapman) Schuman of Manchester, Caitlin and Danielle Schuman of Earlville; special friend, Alana Wenger; siblings, Diana (Ron) Digmann of Cedar Rapids, Steve (Donna) Schuman of Greeley, Dave (Kim) Schuman of Elk Grove, IL, Linda (Dan) Olberding of Dyersville, Nancy (Neal) Conrad of Hopkinton, Beverly (Kevin) DeMoss of Dubuque, and Larry (Laura) Schuman of Earlville; 18 nieces and nephews; six aunts and four uncles.

Ron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Vi Feldman, and John and Ruth Schuman; two aunts, and three uncles.

The family wish to extend a special thank you to the Delhi First Responders, Delhi Fire Department, and University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics for their compassionate care they gave Ron and his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe directed to MV Dollars for Scholars, Parkinson Association, Alzheimer's Association of donor's choice in Ron's memory.
