Ronald Charles Moroney

Ronald C. Moroney, of Winthrop, died Friday, October 16, 2015. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, Masonville. Family will greet friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2015 at Bohnenkamp Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, with a 4:00 p.m. Scripture Service, and from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. prior to mass on Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Masonville.
Ron was born September 11, 1937, in Lamont, Iowa, the son of Bernard and Irene (Lawless) Moroney. He was educated in the area. Ron was a farmer all of his life, raising cattle and crop farming. Ron was a helpful hand, always ready to assist his friends and family.
Survivors include his son, Brad Moroney of Winthrop; his brother, James Moroney of Winthrop; nephews, Pat Moroney of Leup City, Nebraska, and Mike Moroney of Las Vegas, Nevada; a niece, Melissa (Mark) Florez of Dallas, Texas; and several cousins.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
