Ronald L. Beadle, 56, of 727 Gateway Street N.E., Cedar Rapids, died Monday morning, February 17, 2003, in his home, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Traverce Harrison. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. today (Tuesday).
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Beadle of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Randy Beadle and wife Joan of Marion; a sister, Lori Beadle of Cedar Rapids; nephews, Adam, Brian, Kyle and Blake Beadle, all of Marion; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Neva Hall; his father, Robert Beadle; an uncle, William Hall; and an aunt, Marian Hall.
Born August 4, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was the son of Bob and Evelyn Hall Beadle. He graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. During the Vietnam Conflict, he served with the U.S. Navy. Ronald was a paramedic in Marshall, Missouri and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He also worked at Radio Station KILJ in Mount Pleasant. Ronald was an outgoing person who liked to help people and was active outside of work in the community. He was a devoted uncle, son, and brother and will be greatly missed.
