Roger L. Lahr, 46, of Delhi, Iowa, died Tuesday September 26, 2006 at his home after a sudden illness.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2006 at St. John?s Catholic Church in Delhi by Rev. John Kremer. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville, where there will be a 4 p.m. scripture service. Friends may also call for one hour before the Mass on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Roger was born December 2, 1959, in Manchester, the son of Alfred T. and Germaine E. (Steffen) Lahr. He graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1978. Roger farmed on the home place. In 1996, Roger went to work for the ShoDel Dairy Farm. He was a member of St. John?s Catholic Church in Delhi.
Roger is survived by his brother, Chuck Lahr of Delhi; aunts and uncles, Joe & Isabel Lahr of Edgewood, Wallace & Rose Nehl of Monticello, Clarence & Adella Lahr of Petersburg, Mary Jane Felton of Cascade, Theresa Goedken of Dyersville and Alvin "Bud? Lahr of Delhi; and many cousins.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred & Germaine Lahr.
