Roger Alan Clark, 61, of 1310 Cherokee Drive, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at St. Luke?s Hospital, following a long illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Marty Schuhmacher and Rev. Christie John. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Private family burial will be at a later date.
Survivors include his fianc?/caregiver, Tina Stripling of Marion; his daughters, Angie (Ross) Farmer of Marion and Nikki Clark (Shane Jacobs) of Watkins; step-daughter, Julie (John) Mitchell of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Sheila Matthews of Audubon; a brother, Rodney (Sue) Clark of Marion; Erik Hanson; six grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-son, Randy Eveland.
Roger was born June 13, 1945, the son of Vernon and Eileen (Marsden) Clark in Blackburn, England. He married Linda Moore in 1967, they later divorced. Roger worked for the City of Cedar Rapids Engineering Department for thirty-four years. He owned and operated the Horseless Carriage in Marion for many years. Roger shared the last four years with his loving companion, Tina.
