Roger J. Aten, 56, of Toddville, died Wednesday, October 15, 2003, in University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion from 3 to 4 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 p.m.
Roger is survived by his wife, Pat, his son, Scott and Rebecca Aten, his daughter, Lisa and Jerad Frey; his mother, Mattie Aten, as well as his sister and brothers, Maxine Gilchrist, Robert Aten, Bruce (Jan) Aten, Kerwin (Jan) Aten, Edward (Cindy) Aten, Carl (Kris) Aten, James (Tami) Aten and Warren (Pam) Aten. He was preceded in death by his father.
Roger was born on February 25, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to James and Mattie Aten. Roger and Pat were married October 17, 1969.
