Robert Lavern Wyman Sr.

Robert Lavern Wyman, Sr. 88, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. No services will be held, and a private burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, assisted the family.
Robert was born April 9, 1936, in Knox County, Illinois, the son of Merle S. and Harriet J. (Webb) Wyman. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. from 1954 – 1957. On February 20, 1957, Robert was united in marriage to Marlene Rowe. He worked for the city of Cedar Rapids as a bus driver.
Survivors include his children, Robert (Amy) Wyman Jr., Judy Shoemaker, Steve (DeAlleyn) Wyman, and John (Dawnelle) Wyman, all of Cedar Rapids, many grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marlene Wyman; and his son-in-law, Shane Shoemaker.
