Robert "Bob? B. Peyton, 64, Manchester, died Saturday evening, December 27, 2003, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester following complications of leukemia.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Manchester, with Pastor Nancy Bender presiding. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. At Bob?s request, the casket will be closed at all times.
Bob, the son of Carl and Gertrude (Robison) Peyton, was born on June 26, 1939 in Rowley. He attended school in Rowley and Delhi, Iowa. On September 1, 1959, Robert was united in marriage to Carol Wilson in Manchester. He was retired from the Illinois Central Railroad where he worked as a trackman.
Bob enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Carol of Manchester; three daughters, Julie Brooks and Peggy Hahesy of Manchester, and Bobbie (Tony) Dlouhy of Springville; ten grandchildren; five sisters, Deloris (Richard) Fisher of Manchester; Mary (Howard) Schwartkaupf of Cheyenne, WY, Jane (Ron) Sickels of Manchester, Janet (Steve) Teel of Walker, and Carla (Steve) Dotson of Delaware; three brothers, Bill (Virginia) Peyton of Independence, Richard "Dick? Peyton of Manchester, and Jim (Del) Peyton of Bellevue, NE.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Don Peyton; and three sisters, Betty Peyton, Florence Rafoth and Doris Peyton.
