Robert “Percy” Worth Person, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died February 12, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 3-6 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with memorial service following at 6 p.m.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sue; children and grandchildren, Philippe (Agnes) Person of Galgon, France, and their children, Alex, Pierre, Guillaume, Rob (Debbie) Person of Cedar Rapids, and their children, Landree and Ryker, and Randy (Lisa) Person, of Cedar Rapids and their children, Ella, Luci and Parker; brother, Gerald (Dorothy) Person of Petaluma, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice (Worth) Person of Iowa Falls.
Robert was born November 27, 1938 in Albia, Iowa. He served in the United States Army. On June 15, 1968, he was united in marriage to Sue Harrison in Cedar Rapids.
Robert was a sheet metal polisher and worked for Rapids Vending and LeFebure. He was a member of the UAW and the American Legion. Robert liked bowling, pro wrestling, was a movie buff, enjoyed going to morning coffee, eating out with his friends, and his many beloved pets; most importantly Cassie and Chance.
