Robert "Bob? Eugene Malloy, 54, of 1304 3rd Ave. SE, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion, following a long illness. Memorial Service: 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Fellowship Club, 3224 1st Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids. Graveside Inurnment: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his daughter, Carrie (Seth) Sakshaug of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Pat (Bill) Wright of Marion; five brothers, Mike Malloy of Mt. Vernon, Gary (Marianne) Malloy of Vermilion, Ohio, Dennis Malloy of Cedar Rapids, Ron Malloy of Cedar Rapids and Randy (Nancy) Malloy of Springville; and three grandchildren, Robert, Trevor and Vanessa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; and a brother.
Bob was born December 16, 1952, in Des Moines, the son of John and Anna (Myers) Malloy. He worked as a carpenter. Bob was a good friend of Bill W. He will be greatly missed by his extended family at the Fellowship Club and many other local organizations.
A memorial fund has been established in Bob?s memory.
