Ricky John Morehouse, 63, of Marion, died, Monday, July 14, 2008, at Palmer Hospital in West Union. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Rev. ___. The family will greet friends from 4 - 7 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial: Shueyville Cemetery, Shueyville, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; 2 daughters, Ann Squires of Marion and Mary Hatfield of Cedar Rapids; a twin sister, Susan Lawless of Texas; 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Jessica, Gavin, Zachary, and Lorraine; and 3 great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Allison, and Anthony.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Stephen.
Ricky was born February 6, 1945, the son of Floyd and Marion (Wienands) Morehouse, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Marion High School in 1963. Ricky worked for Mee Too grocery store and Options of Linn County for many years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ricky’s family in his memory.
